About DesiPlans
DesiPlans brings every Desi and South Asian event in the city into one calendar — Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepali, Sri Lankan and more. We gather events from temples, gurdwaras, mosques, community associations, student groups, promoters and ticketing sites, and anyone can submit one.
How we check events
A person reviews every event before it's published and checks it against the original source — the organizer's post, website or ticket page. Each event page links to that source. Details can still change, so please confirm with the organizer, and use “Report incorrect info” if something looks wrong.
What we list
- Cultural, religious, festival, music, dance, comedy and theatre events
- Community, family, student, food, sports and networking events
- Free and ticketed events open to the public
We don't list political rallies or campaign events, events that target or demean any community, or anything we can't verify.
Festival dates
Many festivals follow the lunar calendar or moon sighting, so different temples and organizations may celebrate on different days. We always show each organizer's own date.
Flyers and images
Flyers belong to their organizers. We link to the original post and only show images we have permission to use. If you're an organizer and want something changed or removed, use the report link on the event page.
